This summer, Cody Barker with People Water joined us in India to help fix hand pumps in the leprosy colonies of Walajabad, Villivakkam and Vandalur.
Not only were we able to fix these three wells, overcome a lot of obstacles and weather but we were able to train and supply people with the tools to repair any future issues with these pumps.

In 2011 the United Nations selected October 12th as International Day of The Girl. This day has been set aside to acknowledge and discuss issues surrounding girls around the world.
A few years ago, Rising Star Outreach had Jean Shifrin visit the India campus where she was able to experience the program and take some very beautiful and moving photos. Jean has written a blog including some of those photos that we would love to share with you.
