The Military and Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem was established in 1098, by European crusaders who had been exposed to leprosy and desired to serve. Rising Star Outreach is thrilled to be a beneficiary of the gracious and generous support of the Order's Grand Priory of America.

On January 11, our Executive Director, Tyler Vigue joined one of our board members Teresa Claugus, who is also a member of the Order of St. Lazarus, at the annual Vespers Service and Dinner of the Southeast Commandery in Atlanta, Georgia. Commander H.R. Penton and Receiver, Chev. Scott Thompson presented Tyler and Teresa was a very generous contribution to support the ongoing work of the mobile medical unit of Rising Star Outreach in Tamilnadu, India.
